What We Are Building

RYFT is a coaching company, but the vision is bigger than practices.

The goal is to build a track and field development system that gives athletes clearer coaching, better event support, stronger communication, and a more professional training environment.

Athletes

Better training paths.

We want athletes to know what they are building, why it matters, and how their event development connects over time.

Families

More clarity and trust.

Parents should not have to guess which coaching option makes sense or whether their athlete is getting real support.

Coaches

A place to grow.

Good coaches need standards, mentorship, athletes to work with, and a program that takes the sport seriously.

Community

A stronger track and field ecosystem.

RYFT is building more than sessions. We are building relationships, resources, proof, and opportunity around the sport.

Coach Requirements

What we look for in coaching candidates.

RYFT is open to developing the right person, but athletes and families deserve coaches who take the responsibility seriously.

Preferred coaching qualifications

  • Degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent sport/coaching experience
  • Strength, conditioning, track and field, or sport-related certification preferred
  • Competitive athlete experience preferred
  • Dependable transportation
  • Ability to communicate clearly with athletes, parents, and staff
  • Background check required
  • Willingness to complete required safety or compliance steps when applicable
What You Can Gain

A place to learn, contribute, and grow with the program.

RYFT is still growing. That means the right people can have real influence, real responsibility, and a chance to help shape what the program becomes.

Real Athlete Development

Work around athletes who are training, competing, learning, and trying to improve across different events and stages.

Mentorship and Standards

Learn inside a program that cares about technical coaching, parent communication, long-term development, and professionalism.

Room to Build

RYFT needs people who can own lanes, create systems, help athletes, and grow into larger responsibilities over time.

Creative Opportunity

Content, video, analysis, education, clinics, camps, events, and partnerships all have room to grow as the program expands.

Community Impact

Help create more access, confidence, and support for athletes who may not otherwise have serious track and field coaching.

Future Growth

As RYFT grows, some roles may develop into more formal paid, contractor, seasonal, or leadership opportunities.

Important Clarity

Not every opportunity is the same.

Some RYFT opportunities may be volunteer-based, internship-based, contractor-based, partnership-based, seasonal, part-time, or future paid-role conversations depending on the need and the person.

We would rather be clear up front than make vague promises. The right arrangement depends on role, experience, availability, program need, athlete demand, and the value created.

What Matters Most

Reliability is the entry point.

The best people for RYFT are not necessarily the loudest, most decorated, or most polished. They are dependable, teachable, athlete-centered, and willing to do quality work consistently.

How to Apply

Start with a simple introduction.

You do not need a perfect resume to start the conversation. Send enough context for RYFT to understand who you are, what lane you are interested in, and how you might contribute.

Send your intro.

Email RYFT with your name, background, interest area, availability, and why you are interested in working with the program.

Include relevant experience.

Share coaching, athletic, academic, media, marketing, analysis, business, or partnership experience that may be relevant.

Have a fit conversation.

If there may be a match, RYFT will schedule a conversation to discuss needs, expectations, availability, and possible next steps.

Define the lane.

The goal is to create a clear role, trial period, internship scope, partnership idea, or contribution lane before anyone commits.
